A Pioneering Consultancy For Nature Data Platforms

Hex has today announced the launch of Futures Wild, a new entity dedicated to designing, building and customising bespoke data platforms for nature conservation. This initiative underscores Hex's commitment to leveraging human-centered design to transform how conservation data is collected, aggregated, presented and ultimately used.

Futures Wild will enable the creation and adoption of intuitive data systems that empower conservation and nature tech organisations to drive nature-positive solutions. By prioritising usability and clarity, Futures Wild will ensure that complex information becomes an actionable tool, bridging the gap between data and effective conservation activity and policy. The vision is to inspire transformative action, fostering a future where conservation is informed, inclusive, and deeply impactful.

By working closely with organisations like BirdLife International, IUCN and the National Biodiversity Network, Futures Wild aims to play a part in advancing conservation efforts worldwide.

Expanding our commitment to addressing environmental challenges

Ben Moore, Co-Founder at Futures Wild, expressed the team's enthusiasm: "We are incredibly excited to launch Futures Wild as a dedicated nature-tech arm of Hex. This is a pivotal moment for us as we expand our commitment to using design and technology to address some of the most pressing environmental challenges we face today. With Futures Wild, we aim to empower conservationists and decision-makers with intuitive, impactful products and platforms that transform data into actionable insights, driving meaningful progress towards a nature-positive future."

Futures Wild's approach is grounded in comprehensive user and stakeholder research, ensuring that the platforms developed are robust, user-friendly, and adaptable to the evolving needs of conservation and nature tech teams.

The official launch of Futures Wild will take place at the NBN Conference 2024 on Thursday, 21 November, at the Merseyside Maritime Museum in Liverpool. This event, organized by the National Biodiversity Network, brings together experts and organizations dedicated to biodiversity and conservation. Futures Wild's participation highlights its commitment to collaborating with the global conservation community to advance data-driven solutions for nature.
