Turning an ambitious idea into a market-disrupting platform

Whirli founder Nigel Phan engaged us to help build his pioneering early stage venture from the ground up. We worked across digital brand extension, design systems and full stack digital product design and development to make the idea real and attract 10,000 paying customers with a TrustPilot score of 4.7/5.

Project insights
The Insight

Kids get bored quickly, parents are fed up with toy clutter and landfills are filling up with plastic at an alarming rate. By creating a world-first circular business model for toy, we could help to solve all of this, and more.

The Project

We worked with Whirli’s founder from day one; refining the proposition through audience research and then designing, building and launching the award-winning Whirli platform - at speed - with a focus on creating a easy to understand user experience.

The Result

We grew Whirli’s paying subscriber base from 0 to 10k+ (with a TrustPilot score of 4.7/5) before helping them hire and train their own team and successfully raise £4m+ of institutional investment with Octopus Ventures leading the round.
